We warmly invite you to join the Las Salinas Mixed Triples tournament, taking place on Saturday, 12th September. The competition will be held at the Rocajuna terrains, which can accommodate up to 32 entries. 

Entry Details and Format

Ang Gaughan will collect subscriptions of €15 per team, with each team consisting of a maximum of four players providing flexibility for players who may wish to participate in fewer games. Teams are asked to arrive at 09:30, for subscriptions with play commencing at 10:00. The tournament will follow a ‘winner plays winner’ format, ensuring an overall victor based on wins and plus points. 

The Las Salinas Cup, along with medals and wine, will be awarded to the winning team, and medals and wine will also be presented to the second and third placed teams. Only three players per team will receive medals.  

Each game will be timed for approximately 50–60 minutes, beginning when the whistle is blown. Upon hearing the whistle, teams will finish the current end and play one more. If scores are equal, then you will play one more end to determine the winner. Players must remain at the end of the terrain, either behind the circle or the coche, standing in the section between terrains is not permitted. After each game, both captains should report results at the results desk. 

Schedule and Facilities

We anticipate completion of two games by around 12:30, after which there will be a break for lunch and refreshments lasting approximately 30 minutes. The Rocajuna club will provide a barbeque, and there is a bar available throughout the day. Participants may also bring their own food and drink if preferred. 

Charity Tombola

A tombola stall featuring wonderful prizes will be organised, and volunteers will be encouraging donations for our chosen charity, the San Jose Obrero orphanage. If you have unwanted gifts, please bring them along for the tombola. We kindly ask for your generosity in supporting this children’s charity; at the summer presentation, a cheque for €1,360 was donated. The orphanage cares for 100 children who would otherwise not have the opportunity to live within a family environment. All proceeds, including registration fees and tombola funds, will be donated to the charity.
